Reflection - Online Learning Module
The online learning module I created for Digital Learning Environments was an extension of the instructional design unit I had created the previous semester. Based on that unit, I created an entire online professional development course on the topic of designing effective presentations. I wrote a course introduction and outlined objectives. I then adapted the four content modules I created as part of the instructional design unit for an online learning environment. The modules were designed so that students could move through the course at their own pace. Finally, I developed online assessments for each of the four content modules that could be used to gauge student mastery after completing the lessons.
Task 6: Professional Development
Reflection - Professional DevelopmentI created a professional development unit for the teachers at my primary site which I titled Web 2.0 Tools in the Classroom. The class defined the term Web 2.0 and informed the teachers about the many Web 2.0 options available to them which they can use to enhance and extend their teaching. The class covered what types of tools are available such as content curation tools, productivity tools, and presentation tools and gave specific examples of how these types of tools could be incorporated in the classroom. The class ended with the teachers using Blendspace to create their own curated list of resources in their area of instruction.

Reflection - Online Module
Creating online resources is something I really enjoy. I used Microsoft Movie Maker to create this online learning module of the professional development unit I delivered at my primary site.
